Man shot in the chest in Decatur

DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - A 25-year-old man was shot in the chest Tuesday evening in Decatur. 

Decatur police were called to the 900 block of W. Decatur St. just after 5 p.m. 

They found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.  

No one is in custody at this time. 

Witnesses told police they saw a man driving a white pickup truck who pulled up next to the victim, shot him, and drove off.   

The shooting remains under investigation.
