Rost

TAYLORVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A man who was previously convicted of child sex crimes has been arrested and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. 

The Taylorville Police Department started an investigation on May 21 into an alleged sexual assault. 

Within hours the Detective Division arrested Bradley C. Rost, 56, of Taylorville, for Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child. 

Rost was arrested in 1998, committed that same crime, and received a sentence of 17 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. 

"This case was very disturbing to our Officers," Taylorville PD said. 

Rost will have a detention hearing Thursday morning.

"We hope he is held in custody as we believe he is a threat to our City," TPD said.  

All people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
