MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - The Mattoon Police Department says one man is facing two drug-related charges after being arrested Monday morning.
Mattoon police say Anthony Rentfro, 29, was taken into custody at about 8:46 a.m. on June 26. Officers say Rentfro was allegedly in possession of prescription medications without a prescription, as well as methamphetamine. Officers also say that the methamphetamine found was allegedly intended to be sold.
Rentfro was taken to the Coles County Jail, and faces preliminary charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
