DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Macon County Health Department announced Thursday that Jerry Brown Jr. has been promoted to Director of Environmental Health and Emergency Preparedness.
Brown will step into the role effective immediately following the retirement of Brian Wood, the MCHD's former Director of Environmental Health.
Brown has been with the MCHD for six years, and is currently the Assistant Director of Environmental Health.Â
"I am grateful for the opportunity to continue our division’s mission of protecting the environment and ensuring community safety through all the responsibilities of our multifaceted program," Brown said in a press release.Â
