(WAND) - With the election less than four weeks away, thousands of Illinoisians have already let their voices be heard.Â
New data from the State Board of Elections says more than 200,000 people have already voted. This includes close to 115,000 people who have had their main-in ballots returned and over 89,000 voters who completed their ballots at early voting locations.Â
As of Wednesday, October 10, here is a breakdown of how many people have voted early in these counties:Â
- Champaign County: 5,759
- Macon County: 4,236
- Sangamon County: 9,565
- Vermilion County: 1,248
Judges are the ones responsible for confirming those votes. Work is continuing to help counties process votes quickly so that elections can be decided as soon as possible.Â
If you have any questions while voting or run into any problems, you should talk with your election judge at your polling location.Â
