(WAND) - An Idaho company has recalled popular brands of tater tots sold in 26 states, including Illinois, over possible contamination of plastic pieces.
The Food and Drug Administration said that 38,853 cases of Ore-Ida and Sysco Imperial-branded tater tots were included in the recall.
McCain Foods USA Inc. initiated the recall Dec. 3.
The FDA said the product was distributed to states like Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.
