Decatur - New details are being released the day after police arrested 41-year old Vance Auten on multiple child pornography offenses.
Investigators say the Department of Homeland Security was investigating Auten's IP address after it was making itself available to share contraband material namely child pornography.
The investigation found over 50 files and videos on his computer some involving what police believe to be infant children.
As WAND News first reported, Auten was arrested just before 8:30am on Tuesday, December 6th at his home in the 6-hundred block of North Virginia Avenue.
Auten was booked into the Macon County Jail on multiple child pornography offenses.
