Police arrested 38-year-old, Jeffery Sollman for aggravated battery to a child Wednesday night at a home on Sandhill Drive for allegedly shaking his six-month-old son.

The boy was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur he was later air lifted to Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria specialized treatment. Officials at Saint Francis say the infant's injuries were sustained from violent shaking.

The six-month-old died Thursday morning at 11:15 a.m. His father is currently in the Macon County jail. He is being held on $250,000 bond.
