DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — The Decatur Fire Department successfully prevented an exterior fire from moving inside a senior apartment building.
Fire crews arrived to The Reserve a little after 11:45 Wednesday morning. The Battalion Chief saw heavy fire on the outside of the building, spreading to all four floors of the complex.
While battling the flames, firefighters checked the units inside and evacuated residents. The fire was brought under control around 12:30.
No injuries were reported. The fire is being considered as accidental.
