Springfield Eatery Offering Free Meal for Veterans

For the fourth year in a row Obed & Isaac’s Microbrewery and Eatery in Peoria will be offering a free meal to veterans and active military personnel on Veteran’s Day. Open from 11am-11:30pm daily, Obed and Isaac’s will welcome active and retired military members to a free entrée on their national day of recognition for their service to our country.

Obed & Isaac’s is part of Conn’s Hospitality Group, a family-owned company with deep roots in both Springfield and the military. Court Conn and his son Casey have both served in branches of the military.

“This is the least we could do for those who serve and protect our country," Court Conn said.

Hundreds of meals have been provided by this program over just the past three years. Obed and Isaac’s staff members are currently preparing for the anticipated influx of active and retired service personnel to visit the establishment. The offer is good for dine-in only at the restaurant itself (not the bocce garden grill), and they have a “no reservations” policy in effect since opening in February 2012.
