BETHANY, Ill. (WAND) — An investigation is underway at Okaw Valley School District.
This comes after a teacher was arrested for criminal conduct involving a high school student.
The school district shared a message on their Facebook page.
District says, they were made aware of the teacher's inappropriate communications with a minor.
They notified police and the teacher was arrested last night.
They say, the investigation is still underway.
In a statement the district says, "The Board and Administration are committed to providing students a safe learning environment and will continue to do so in the future."
