SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND)- A semi truck overturned on Interstate 72 westbound to Interstate 55 southbound, near Springfield.
Traffic backed up on Interstate 55 in Springfield, Thursday Feb. 13, 2025.
Illinois State Police are currently on the scene of the crash. Traffic is being diverted at exit 98, and lane closures are expected to last for several hours.
Police said the driver of the semi was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
