SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) - A person was rescued after their car got trapped in floodwater in Springfield.Â
The Springfield Fire Department was called out for a driver stranded in floodwater near the intersection of Capitol Ave. and 3rd St. around 8:15 Monday night.Â
Firefighters rescued one person from the vehicle that was trapped in chest-high water. The person was not hurt.Â
