HENSLEY TOWNSHIP, Ill. (WAND) - A driver was injured after crashing into a cornfield in Hensley Township Friday morning.Â
The Champaign County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to the area of 1200 E and 2100 N around 2:15 a.m.
A car left the road and went 2/3 of a mile through a corn field before coming to a stop on a fence row near Interstate 57.
The driver, Xinyu Han, 23, from Champaign, was the only person in the vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries.
The sheriff's office said Han was issued traffic citations for Improper Lane Usage and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
