(WAND) - The National Weather Service in Lincoln said a tornado that hit the Nokomis/Pana area on Sunday and ripped off part of the roof of a local school was an EF-1.

In a post Monday evening, NWS Lincoln shared that the complete data for the tornado was still being finalized.

Nokomis schools were closed on Monday after several pieces of the steel roof had blown off the east side of the junior high gym. Additional damage was seen near the high school.

The NWS Lincoln office also confirmed three EF-1s in Assumption, Lovington and Tuscola, and two EF-0s in Bethany and Arthur had hit the area over the weekend.

NWS Lincoln stated that it is working with the National Weather Service in St. Louis to finalize a tornado that went from Montgomery into Christian Counties, as it spanned two coverage areas.
