ROCHESTER, Ill. (WAND) - Rochester High School was evacuated Thursday for a bomb threat. 

Students were evacuated to the Rochester Fire Department for parents to pick them up after police were called to the school at 11:31 a.m. 

The school district told WAND News a bomb threat was made against the school. They did not clarify how the threat was made or discovered. 

Rochester police told us officers were still at the school as of 1 p.m. searching the building. 

No other information was available at this time.
