CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — A second 16-year-old boy has died following a shooting in Champaign last week.
On June 29, Champaign police were called to the 1500 block of Holly Hill Dr. just after midnight.
Police found two 16-year-old boys shot and unconscious in the front yard of a home. One of the boys, who was identified as Erion Turner, died shortly after the shooting.Â
The second victim died Monday morning on July 7.Â
The second victim's name is not being released at the request of the family.
The investigation is still ongoing, and police are still looking for a suspect.Â
