SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) – Investigators are cleaning up after a semi-truck lost part of its load on the interstate.
The Illinois Department of Transportation says it happened on Interstate 55 near mile post 105, which is north of the Sherman area. The vehicle lost some of the I-beams it was carrying.
Two northbound lanes of I-55 were blocked in the area and reopened Thursday evening.
WAND-TV reached out to Illinois State Police for more information and did not hear back Thursday.
