EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) – A semi-truck driver is in the hospital after a crash involving three Freightliner trucks.
State police say 60-year-old Fort Wayne, Ind., man Marc Aldredge approached two other semi-trucks that had to slow down on I-70 (mile post 80) due to traffic congestion. They say he failed to slow down and hit the back of a second truck, which then struck the third.
Responders transported Aldredge to Carle Hospital in Urbana. His condition is unknown.
