Springfield – A State Senate proposal to allow carrying of concealed weapons would let big cities add to the list of places considered off-limits to guns.

 

The local control would be limited to cities over 25 thousand in population. It also includes a statewide gun ban in schools, liquor stores, stadiums, amusement parks and more.

 

Illinois has until June 9th to follow a federal court order to enact a law allowing concealed carry.
