MATTOON, Ill. (WAND) - Six people were displaced following a fire at a duplex in Mattoon on Wednesday afternoon.Â
The Mattoon Fire Department was called around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 1300 block of Lafayette for a potential fire with people inside.Â
Firefighters arrived within minutes to find a two-and-a-half-story duplex with fire and smoke coming from the back of the building.Â
Mattoon FD said the fire was under control just before 4 p.m.Â
No injuries were reported.Â
According to the Mattoon Fire Dept., the six people displaced by the fire are being helped by the American Red Cross.Â
The fire is under investigation.Â
