HERVEY CITY, Ill. (WAND) — One person has been killed at a shooting that took place in a Hervey City business Monday afternoon.
Macon County Sheriff Jim Root said that deputies responded to the business for a report of a gunshot victim.
When they arrived on scene, they located the suspect and two gunshot victims. One victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and the other was declared dead at the scene.
The suspect was also transported to a hospital with injuries.
The investigation shut down a portion of Route 121 in Hervey City Monday afternoon.
