CLINTON, Ill. (WAND) - Skeletal remains that were found behind a campground in Clinton on Christmas Eve have now been identified.Â
The DeWitt County Coroner's Office and DeWitt County Sheriff's Office were called to a wooded area behind Arrowhead Acres campground for a report of skeletal remains on Dec. 24, 2024.Â
DeWitt County Coroner Randy J. Rice confirmed the discovery of skeletal remains. On April 23, the coroner announced the remains belong to
Neil Matthew McGuire, 74, formerly of Grenada, Mississippi. The manner of his death has been ruled a suicide.
Officials are asking for the public’s help in locating any living relatives or friends of Neil Matthew McGuire.
