Decatur, IL - Three family members convicted of murder continue their fight for a new trial.

A fingerprint analysis hearing for the 1996 Slover case took place in Macon County Monday. Michael Slover Sr., Michael Slover Jr., and Jeanette Slover were convicted of killing Michael Jr.'s ex-wife Karyn Hearn Slover in 1996.

They are fighting for a new trial and want fingerprints found near crime scene evidence to be tested. This is crucial because investigators say the prints did not match the Slovers.

Macon County Judge Timothy Steadman says he will wait 14-days for written closing arguments before he makes a decision.
