Springfield man found shot to death in car identified

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A man who was found dead inside a vehicle in Springfield has been identified.

Springfield Police found the body of a man who had been shot multiple times a little before 2:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of South 13th Street and Cornell Avenue.

The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, identified the man as Qrrey Bates, 23. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
