SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND)- A 64-year-old man from Springfield was killed in a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash, on Thursday.
According to the Sangamon County Coroner, the collision happened near the intersection of Mansion Road and Curran Road.
The motorcyclist was transported from the scene of the incident by EMS to Springfield Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 12:17 p.m.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld, pending next of notification.
An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow, and the death remains under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office.
