SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A second arrest has been made related to the shooting of 45-year-old Sammie Tyrone McClinton in Springfield.
Keundra T. Daniels, 21, was arrested on Thursday for conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery. Daniels is the sister of Shelton A. Woolridge, a man arrested last month for first degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.
McClinton was found by officers in the 700 block of N. 5th St on July 25. He had been shot multiple times. He was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive.
Daniels will go to court Friday for a first appearance and petition to detain hearing.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
