SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Police Department has announced that 27 felony arrests and one misdemeanor arrest were made during a two-day warrant and proactive arrest effort on May 18 and 19.
Springfield police say they were joined by the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force in this effort. The number of arrests and preliminary charges are detailed below:
- 18 felony warrant arrests for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance
- 6 probable cause felony arrests for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance
- One felony warrant arrest for possession of a controlled substance
- One felony warrant arrest for possession of a look-alike substance
- One probable cause felony arrest for possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of marijuana
- One misdemeanor probable cause arrest for reckless driving
The names of those who were arrested have not yet been released by the Springfield Police Department.
