SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) — A downtown Springfield wine bar has announced its plans to shut its doors for good.
Ad Astra Wine & Tapas Bar made that announcement in a Facebook post Sunday afternoon. The business cited rising expenses, financial struggles and a need to step back and prioritize mental health as its reasons for closing.
This is just the latest blow to the neighborhood. Ad Astra sits on Adams Street which saw several other businesses burn in a destructive fire last June.
The bar hasn't set a closing date at this time.
