DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) — A suspect in a deadly Decatur stabbing was arrested by U.S. Marshals in LaSalle County, according to the Decatur Police Department. 

Timothy D. Chatman, 28, was located by the U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force in Streator, Illinois, about 60 miles northeast of Peoria. Decatur police said Chatman is being held in the LaSalle County Jail.

An arrest warrant for Chatman was issued Monday in connection to 26-year-old Jamarcus Golden's murder. 

Golden died at a hospital early Thursday morning from several stab wounds, according to police. He was found by police in the 1200 block of North Church Street.

The Decatur Police Department is still investigating Golden's murder.
