DECATUR -Timothy Giles, who previously pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree murder for the deaths of Cindy Eaton and Lindsey Eaton, was handed two life terms in court Friday. The Eatons were stabbed and shot in their Harristown home in August 2011. Giles had lost custody of his daughter during the summer to Casey Eaton; she was shot and stabbed 40 times but survived. Her father spoke to WAND News during Friday's sentencing hearing. "I try to focus on my last conversation with Cindy and Lindsey and the smiles on their faces," Eaton said. Giles was asked twice if he'd like to comment in court but he declined. Â | ||||||
