PANA, Ill. (WAND) - It's a minimalist movement that's sweeping the country — tiny houses.Â
Now, people right here in central Illinois can jump on the trend. Joe's house and home in Pana is the first place in Illinois to sell pre-built tiny houses.Â
The homes are usually just a couple hundred square feet and are pre-built. They include normal amenities like a shower, toilet, sinks and stove.
The homes can be stationary or on the go.Â
Sales manager for Joe's House and Home says he thinks the houses will appeal to people at any age.
"It's very cost effective, that's the key, trying to get something affordable that's good quality and going to last," Combs says. "I think we finally hit that threshold with this product."Â
According to Combs, there are four different models for the homes that will all be available for purchase later this year.Â
