MACON COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) – A Warrensburg-area bridge just had its weight limit reduced because of its condition, county leaders say.
The bridge is on Schellabarger Road between Glasgow Road and Harpster Road. Its weight limit is now 5 tons.
WAND-TV reached out to the Macon County Highway Department and learned the change came because the bridge is in poor condition. A fix for the bridge could be done by the fall of 2019, as the department says bid letting is expected to happen in July.
