(WAND) - Winter returns to Central Illinois just in time for the weekend.

After topping out in the 50s Wednesday, we'll enjoy another mild day today with highs well into the 40s.
 
Sunshine returns for much of the day after the showers this morning.

A weather system will bring snow, wind, and colder temperatures Friday.  A dusting to two inches of snow is expected with most of us seeing an inch or two.  There could be some isolated higher totals, especially south.
 
Highs Friday and Saturday will be cold – only in the low-30s.  Overnight lows will be in the teens and 20s.
 
Temperatures rebound to the 40s Sunday with sunshine.
 
Even warmer weather is on tap next week with 60° possible by Wednesday.
