You can see an authentic World War II bomber right here in Central Illinois.
Dubbed "The Flying Fortress", the aircraft will be on display at the Abraham Lincoln Capitol Airport in Springfield this weekend. It's a flying piece of history that gives passengers a chance to see what life was like for military bombers during World War II. Don Brooks of the Liberty Foundation named this aircraft "Liberty Belle" as a tribute to his father, who was a tail gunner.
It will be on display from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday. If you want to ride in the aircraft, the cost is $430.
