BLOOMINGTON, Ill. (WAND) - The Bloomington Bison announced Wednesday that it will be affiliated with the NHL's Winnipeg Jets and the American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose.

The Jets earned the President's Trophy as the league's top team during the 2024-25 campaign, though they missed the postseason last season.

According to the Bison, the Moose are coming off an appearance in the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs.

"The Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose have a long and proven track record of developing talent on and off the ice. Their vision and professionalism align with our values in Bloomington, and this affiliation will provide even more opportunities for our players, and for our fans to see them grow," said Bison President Andy Zilch in a statement.

Bloomington finished its second season of existence with a 37-30-2 record, losing in the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs to the Toledo Walleye.

Additional information on the team and its new affiliate is available online.
