(WAND) - The winter sports season has closed for high school athletics, but basketball remains the talk of central Illinois!
Illinois men's basketball competes with Xavier in the Round of 64 at the NCAA Tournament. The women's team also braces for their matchup with Creighton.
Meanwhile, spring sports on the diamond are under way. High school softball teams are competing through the early season chill and windy conditions.
