CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Brad Underwood has made a point to Illini men's basketball that if you put the work in to practice good results will come and that doesn't just go for scoring it goes for defense too.

In May Underwood hired Camryn Crocker as an assistant after a tenure at Colgate to help make sure the group stays defensively sound.

Crocker said Underwood intentionally went outside his typical circle for the hire.

Wednesday Crocker revealed what it's like working with the Illini head coach.

Illinois was the top ranked team in the Big Ten in defensive rebounds per game, while also ranking fourth in the conference in blocks averaging 4.6 per game.
