CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - #9 Illinois will try to extend a 10 game win streak Sunday when they head into Lincoln, Nebraska to take on the #5 Cornhuskers in a top-10 matchup.
The Fighting Illini are coming off a win at home over Washington. The win was their 10th in a row, which is the longest winning streak for the program since opening the 2012-13 season 12-0.
It is the second time the two teams are meeting this season. The first game was a tight game at the State Farm Center, where the Illini lost 83-80 after a buzzer beater 3-pointer. It is the only loss for Illinois in the last two months.
Meanwhile, the Cornhuskers are looking to rebound after their first loss of the season to #3 Michigan on Tuesday.
