CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — After committing to the Fighting Illini in April, guard Mihailo Petrovic has signed a Big Ten Athletics Aid Agreement with the University of Illinois.Â
The Serbian guard most recently played for KK Mega Basket in the Adriatic League First Division. He has also played on the Serbian National Team.
"Mihailo is the consummate point guard. He has a great understanding of how the game is played," said Illini Basketball Head Coach Brad Underwood. "He has tremendous speed, and, being a little bit older, also has a physicality about him which we like and is needed in the Big Ten."
In 30 games last season, Petrovic averaged 14.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists.Â
