CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The Illinois football team climbed back into the top 20, moving up 5 spots to #17 in this week's AP top 25 after a 43-27 win at Purdue.
The jump in the rankings comes ahead of a home matchup against the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes. The teams are meeting for the first time since 2017, and it is the first time the Buckeyes are in Champaign since 2015.
FOX Big Noon Kickoff will also return to Champaign for the second time this season.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT at Gies Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 11.
