CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The Illini women's basketball team landed as a #10 seed for the Big Ten Tournament and will open play Wednesday.
Illinois finished with a 9-9 record in Big Ten play, marking the third .500 or better finish in league play under Head Coach Shauna Green.
The tournament will run from March 4-8 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Illini will face off against #15-seed Wisconsin on Wednesday, March 4.
The game will tip off 25 minutes after the Indiana vs. Nebraska game, which is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
First round games will be available to watch on Peacock.
If Illinois wins, they will look ahead to a rematch against #7-seed Michigan State on Thursday.
