CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Four Illinois players on offense earned All-Big Ten honors Thursday, highlighted by first team selection, tackle J.C. Davis.
According to Illinois Athletics, Davis was the No. 3-graded left tackle in the country during the regular season per Pro Football Focus (PFF).
Wide receiver Hank Beatty was a third team selection, ranking third in the conference in receptions (64) and fourth in receiving yards (826). Beatty was also an honorable mention on special teams as a return specialist.Â
Guard Josh Gesky and quarterback Luke Altmyer were tabbed as honorable mention picks. Altmyer ranked in the top seven in the Big Ten in touchdown passes (5th), yards (6th) and completion percentage (6th), per Illinois Athletics Communications.
Eleven Illini players on defense and special teams were recognized by the conference on Wednesday, headlined by first team selection linebacker Gabe Jacas.
