CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) -- Illinois men extended their win streak to eight straight victories Wedensday night when they defeated Maryland 89-70 and improved to 7-1 in Big 10 play.
This is the longest win streak since Brad Underwood took over as head coach.
Andrej Stojakovic had a season high 30 points against the Terps and pulled down 9 rebounds.
With Kylan Boswell out Brad Underwood said Andrej will be the guy and has all the tools to be an outstanding defender.
Illinois now turns their attention to another top 15 matchup as they head to West Lafeyette to take on Purdue Saturday Jan. 24. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
