CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — The Illinois football team is adding an unfamiliar opponent to their non-conference schedule for the 2027 season.
The team announced they will host Delaware on September 11, 2027 at Gies Memorial Stadium.
The game will be the first meeting between the Illini and Blue Hens.
For the upcoming season, the Big Ten announced that the 2026 football schedule will be released live on Big Ten Network on Tuesday, January 27 at 4:30 p.m. CT.
