Kylan Boswell announces return to Illinois

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) - Home is where the heart is.

Champaign native Kylan Boswell announced he is returning to Illinois Basketball next season.

Boswell is sure to be a vocal locker room leader next season for Illinois.

Brad Underwood has coined Boswell as the best defender in the country. Although despite consistently locking down opposing teams top scorers, Boswell was left off the 2024-25 Big Ten All-Defensive Team.

Boswell played some of his best basketball during the postseason. The Illini guard averaged 19 points per game between the Big Ten and NCAA Tournament.

Boswell is the second Illini to announce his return to the team next season, joining Ty Rodgers.
