MT. ZION, Ill. (WAND) -- JC Anderson selected Ole Miss to continue his football career.

Ranked the third tight end in the state of Illinois Anderson was a highly sought after receiving more than 30 offers from across the country.

Which he said still feels unreal but blessed for the opportunity.

"I mean it's surreal to this day. I just I just feel blessed. I mean, to just be wanted by these coaches and these coaches telling me how how they could see me at their school and how they could use me. Like I said, it's still surreal. And, I mean, it just feels amazing," Anderson said. 

And coming from a town of 5,800 people he said his family and friends were there for him every step of the way and he wouldn't have made it to the next level without them.

"It was amazing. They never swayed. They always showed love and support no matter what school I was leaning towards," Anderson said. "So, yeah, my teammates, friends, family and my coach has been they've been huge to me. And I mean, I couldn't have done it without them."
