TUSCOLA, Ill. (WAND) - The CIC boys' basketball tournament has officially begun as teams compete for the conference crown!
Day one showed some of the top teams assert themselves, with #1 seeded Warrensburg-Latham and #2 seed and host Tuscola earning victories.
The Cardinals opened the tournament on Monday with a commanding victory over Meridian, 82-48. Following the matchup, the Warriors took the court in front of a home crowd and triumphed over Central A&M 69-44.
Teams in the middle-tier will compete on Tuesday. The CIC tournament schedule can be found below.

6pm - (4) Shelbyville vs. (5) Meridian
7pm - (3) Clinton vs. (6) Central A&M
Wednesday
6pm - (2) Tuscola vs. (3) Clinton
7pm - (1) Warrensburg-Latham vs. (4) Shelbyville
Friday
5pm - Consolation game
6:30pm - 3rd place
8pm - Championship
