DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Parkland men's basketball team won the National Junior College Athletic Association DII National Championship Saturday.

The Cobras defeated Ellsworth Community College, 76-68 in Danville. 

Jaiden Martin scored a game-high 34 points. Champaign native Chris Bush had 12 points and Grant Chamberlin had 11 points. 

Martin was named Tournament MVP and Bush and Chamberlin were named to the All-Tournament team. 

Cobras Head Coach John Bowler was named the NJCAA DII Coach of the Year. 

The championship is the first for the program since 1986. It is the tenth overall national title for Parkland, according to the school's website.
