Preseason Poll: EIU Football picked to finish second in conference

CHARLESTON, Ill. (WAND) - Eastern Illinois Football has been picked to finish second in the OVC Big South.

The Panthers went 8-3 last season, EIU's best finish since 2013.

In addition, quarterback Pierce Holley was named the conference's Preseason Player of the Year.

Holley threw for 2,741 yards last season with 17 touchdowns.

EIU will open up their season at 8 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 29 at Memorial Stadium.
